This post is about a Gospel magic themed cups and balls routine.

(I’m kidding.)

But, as I just wrote to Jim Sisti, the two recent topics that have garnered the most comments here at Casa Escamoteurettes are Gospel magic and the cups and balls.

Go figure.

  1. Then again, in a Concrete Blonde song (Tomorrow Wendy) they do point out God had balls. I just don’t know if they were crochet or Mike Rogers baseball style.

  2. Yes, you do have a post with 28 comments. I’ll not comment on that.

As for God’s balls, from what I gather, they are more Gertner-style than anything else.

  3. My last name is Bishop but I am not fond of religious magicians magic. I have never performed the cups and balls and have someone offer to build me a church.

It is a theory that magicians magic and religion have some of the same roots as with religion and music, theater, puppets, hypnotism and perhaps the art to con people might perhaps be in there as well.

I like magic as entertainment and often see the entertainment in the above. Keep up the great work John.
