Thank you, John. This is one of the few days a year when it is perfectly appropriate to ask if my pole is up. (And for the curious, I remain a purist — which is to say, my pole is unadorned.)

"Escamoteur" is French for conjurer. "Tourettes" is a neurological disorder sometimes causing uncontrollable vocal outbursts. While I am descended from the French, like most I am only pop-culturally related to Tourettes.
